Somethin’ To Rap About: Stubborn Politics
This an episode of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The interview is the part that I want to point out. Ben Wattenberg, author of “Fighting Words,” to me represents some of the people who can’t admit to being wrong (or they intentionally made the mistake).

Somethin’ to Rap About: What not to do
I am all about Hip Hop that gets political but Ludacris’s rhyme in the recent song Obama is here, is how not to do it. When the person you are speaking up for releases this statement:
“This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”
You did it wrong.
“Hillary hated on you/So that b**ch is irrelevant.”
“McCain don’t belong in ANY chair unless he’s paralyzed/ Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped/ Ball up all of his speeches and I throw ‘em like candy wrap.”
Are just some of the lines he dropped.
Ludacris gave the opposition party fuel to attack Obama with. Not good.
Jay-Z talks new album and gets into politics
In an interview with the Rolling Stone Magazine Jay-Z said, “You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it’s premature,” Jay said. “I’m a person that works off music. If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction.”
It also seems that he may finally head in a slightly more political direction on this new album. I say finally because for long he has stayed away from activism and politics because it couldn’t sell. He definitely has a big voice and it is time he used it for topics of importance.

Alicia Keys and Jack White Team for Bond Theme
Alicia Keys and the Jack White of the White Stripes will record the theme song to “Quantum of Solace,” the James Bond film, which hits U.S. theaters Nov. 7.
Jack White wrote and produced the song titled, “Another Way To Die.” It will be the first duet in Bond soundtrack history.
We’ll see what it sounds like but it would be dope top have a Jack White and Krucial Keys co-production. Get a little hip hop/soul flavor in there.
JDilla/MF Doom cuts from before JDilla passed
“In late 2005 Ghostface Killa and MF DOOM were both recording over tracks from J Dilla’s instrumental opus, Donuts, which saw release the following February. Some of these were released on Ghostface’s Fishscale in 2006, while others, including a Dilla-Doom project, were postponed indefinitely after J Dilla’s passing. Two of these tracks, “Sniper Elite” and “Murder Goons,” are presented here for the first time. The two are taken from two sequential songs off Donuts, meant to mix together. We are presenting the two songs unmixed, plus the two mixed together as a bonus track. ” - Stones Throw
